What help can I get to claim benefits?
The Citizens Advice Bureau Hold regular surgeries at Pembrokeshire Mind where volunteer advisors can offer extensive help and advice.
In an emergency situation we can accompany benefit claimants to the benefit office premises, provide telephone numbers and assistance to those seeking benefits. Contact us for more info.

What help can I get to improve my accommodation?
We can signpost you to various local organisations who can assist, including Shelter Cymru, P.A.T.H., Pembrokeshire County Council, N.A.C.R.O. etc.

Can you arrange for me to see someone from the council eg environmental health, revenue services?

Yes. We can either accompany people to the Council offices, or arrange for a meeting with them in our own resource centre.

Can I apply for a bus pass?
Yes. Collect a form from Pembrokeshire Council, bring it in to us and we will help you fill it in.

If I buy goods from a catalogue will more be taken out of my account than I have got?
Visit your local Citizens Advice Bureau or speak to your bank and ask to have direct debits explained.

What can I do about noisy neighbours?
Pembrokeshire Council Environmental Health and Citizens Advice Bureau can advise on the best way to resolve issues with neighbours.

What can I do about unwanted phone calls?
Contact BT Nuisance Calls, register your number with Telephone Preference Service.

What help is available for anxiety problems?

Our befriending service offers emotional and social support. The resource centre offers a safe environment in which to find further help. Women in Mind also offer practical and emotional support to women.

Can I come to the resource centre to use your phone?
Yes!

Please may I have a cup of tea/coffee?
Yes (a mere 10p!) and a chat (free!)

How do I change GP?
Ask your old GP for a form.

Can you find me a boyfriend / girlfriend?
No – but you never know who might bump into in our resource centre!
