Women In Mind

2009/10 saw the rebirth of Pembrokeshire Mind’s Women in Mind Project with a Women’s Only Befriending Group set up on a Friday Afternoon.
The group began as an interim measure for those ladies who were on the waiting list for a Befriender.
It has proved to be such a success that we’re going to offer the service longer term as an alternative to a Befriender. Removing isolation, providing peer support and promoting strong community links.
With Ann’s hard work, listening ear and creative planning the group has gone from strength to strength.
Numbers have increased, referrals have been coming in from a variety of sources and the ladies have enjoyed:

And even a visit from Pets as Therapy pooch Flynn and his lady owner!
2010/11 will see us concentrate on the development of Women in Mind with more exciting events, trips, training and plenty of chat…keep your eyes out for things to come.
